In this and the next four issues of the SO newsletter, you can win a pair of cerjo sunglasses Special Edition 2023. The competition is about Delémont, the capital of the canton of Jura. The historic town is located in the north-west of Switzerland, close to the border with France. Medieval buildings, pretty house facades, beautiful fountains and inviting terraces characterize the face of the old town. Delsberg is also home to the headquarters of cerjo and the sunglasses label of the same name, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023.
Del©mont, the youngest cantonal capital in Switzerland, is rich in history and has a charming old town. There are numerous historic buildings to discover, including the town house, the church of St-Marcel and the castle, the former summer residence of the Prince-Bishop of Basel. The two city gates of the medieval Old Town, the Porte au Loup and the Porte de Porrentruy, and parts of the former city wall are well preserved. The squares of the old town are adorned with five monumental Renaissance-style fountains dating from the 16th century. Also located in the old town is the Jura History and Art Museum, which provides information about the region through interactive exhibitions.

Stage 1: Around Del©mont
Del©mont is an ideal starting point for excursions into the countryside. The hilly surroundings can be explored by bike, with beautiful views of the town guaranteed. From Del©mont, a 13km circular trail "Sentier Auguste Quiquerez" leads to Soyhi¨res and back to Del©mont. Archaeology, flora and fauna, geology and ecology of the surrounding area are presented on 30 information boards. Along the way, you will come across several historical buildings, such as the Chapelle du Vorbourg (outer bailey chapel), which lies high above the town. Perched on a rocky outcrop, this place of refuge offers a magnificent view over the Birs valley.
